Statement of Martin Blackwood, archival assistant. The plot is picking up!!
Martin went to investigate Carlos Vittery's flat (that's the guy who was terrified of spiders and then one spider in particular decided to haunt him, so he squashed it three times but in the end the spider killed him oh no), but instead of an evil spider, he found evil... worms? Silver slithery thingies of about an inch long with a black head. Gross :D
So he breaks into the flat's basement, doesn't really find anything, returns later to still not find anything except old cobwebs and a creepy lady covered in holes with those worms crawling in and out of her.
He manages to escape and runs home to his own apartment, losing his phone in the process, but worm lady (Jane Prentiss) stalks him there and he is trapped in his own home for 13 days. Eventually she just leaves.
Martin takes up a room in the Archives for now, at least until the situation is resolved. Ominous quote from the end of the episode:
ARCHIVIST
I just received another text message. From you. "Keep him. We have had our fun. He will want to see it when the Archivist's crimson fate arrives."
